A peek at Disney’s Cars Land float

If you watch the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif., on New Year’s Day, keep an eye out for Disney’s “Destination: Cars Land” float.

The Disney Parks Blog provided a sneak peek of the float at its warehouse in Asuza, Calif., before the flowers are affixed.

The Cars Land theme park is inspired by the fictional Route 66 town of Radiator Springs, as depicted in the 2006 Disney-Pixar animated film “Cars.”

The broadcast of the Tournament of Roses Parade will begin at 8 a.m. Pacific (11 a.m. Eastern) on New Year’s Day. NBC, ABC, HGTV, and RFD-TV will be among the channels covering it.
