The Standard Diner at Arno and Central Avenue in Albuquerque appears to be ready to open in a matter of days after a set of delays, according to the Albuquerque Tribune’s Food City section. It’s owned by the same folks who run the acclaimed Range Cafes in town.
According to this earlier story in the New Mexico Business Weekly:
The diner’s decor is meant to be reminiscent of a 1930s or ’40s dining room, with old photographs of Albuquerque lining the walls and light fixtures that are very retro-looking, says DiGregory. Chris Harmon was the architect on the project.
As for the food, call it an upscale diner menu, where the meat loaf is a little fancier and eggs benedict will be available along with more low-brow breakfast options. DiGregory initially plans to open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, before adding a brunch menu on the weekends.
