I fell in love today. No not with a person. I took my first drive ever down Route 66 from Kingman to Seligman. Suddenly life all makes sense…ok maybe not that extreme but I must say that so far today has been my favorite of my trip. There is something almost spiritual driving down that road that is lost as you are barrelling down the interstate.

I have come to the decision (as of about 10 seconds ago) that California be damned and I am devoting the rest of my trip (outside of a visit to Sedona…anyone who wants to know why catch Weird Travels on the Travel Channel) cruising along as much of Route 66 as possible and hitting all the funky stores, restuarants, and motels as I can on the way back towards Iowa.
