Coleman Theatre relights its neon

Ace Jackalope of The Lope blog alerted me to the fact the circa-1929 Coleman Theatre in Miami, Okla., recently refurbished its vintage neon sign and had it lit for the first time Friday. Ace happened to be driving through Miami on Sunday night and saw it. The photo above is his.

A volunteer at the theater also was nice enough to give Ace a tour of the theater that night. Go here to see Ace's lavish photos of this wonderful venue. You can also read about our night with a Trout Fishing in America concert at the Coleman a few weeks ago.

Also, Ace recently revisited his one-year anniversary post: a trip down Route 66 at Lebanon, Mo. Visits to the Munger Moss Motel, the Bell restaurant and the late, great Wrinks Market were included.
