Barefoot Ted is looking for sponsors when he runs the Mother Road 100 in November.
If you’re not familiar with it, the Mother Road 100 is a 100-mile footrace from Arcadia, Okla., to Sapulpa, Okla., on Nov. 11-12. The course takes the oldest alignment of Route 66 when possible.
The first thing I’d think about getting Ted is a pair of shoes. đ
Howdy Folks
Barefoot Ted here.
I actually enjoy running barefoot. It is easier. So, no money for shoes.
I do use Vibram’s FiveFingers shoes when I need shoes, i.e., off-road or on very rough surfaces for long-distances.
What I am looking for is someone or someplace that wants to have me wear a jersey with their message or slogan on it for the upcoming Mother Road 100.
Only 200 runners will be registered. It is a ONE time race. So, here’s your chance to be part of Route 66 history.
Flight is around $300.00, race entry was $100.00, rental car will be around $200.00 and hotel around $250.00
Ideally, one person or organization will sponsor me for some good clean fun and promotion.
Best Regards, Barefoot Ted
Thankfully, I did find a sponsor.
The company’s name is SCI or Solar Communications International. They make infrastructure concealment systems, i.e., they hide cellular antennae, etc. with fake trees, rocks, water towers and steeples.
The company logo is; Technology Without Intrusion
I wore a singlet with their logo throughout the race.
Best Regards, Barefoot Ted
PS. Thanks for helping me.
