Historians, residents, business owners, enthusiasts and preservationists provide insightful context and engaging perspectives as they share their thoughts on the timeless charm and enduring appeal of a highway that became a cultural landmark and remains a dynamic part of an overall American experience.
Tommy Pike, president of the Route 66 Association of Missouri, saw a sneak preview of the two-hour documentary less than a week ago. He said it had the involvement of Missouri Route 66 historian Skip Curtis, Route 66 author Michael Wallis, University of New Mexico historian David Dunaway and Route 66 Magazine publisher Paul Taylor.
