Route 66 blog roundup 10/3

  • Okiedokie wonders whether the two segments of Route 66 in Oklahoma that were placed on the National Register of Historic Places are driveable. They are. • A fellow from Essex, England, created an Ol’ Boy Riding Route 66 blog and took a motorcycle down Route 66 in August. But it should be called Ol’ Boy Ridin’ Route 66.
  • SteveandAmySly.com recently toured Route 66 in Illinois and will be devoting a 20-part (!) series to it. On the Tannerworld.com forums, they explain what inspired them to do the Mother Road (hint: one of them was a recent hit summer movie).
  • An Australian couple is driving a 1965 Mustang on Route 66.
