The 2007 Route 66 Festival will be in Clinton, Okla., on June 21-24, and the chamber of commerce has sent a news release announcing that it’s getting ready for it.
Although it seems slightly odd the town is already making preparations when the first snowflake hasn’t even fallen in the Sooner State, one should remember that the event sits early on the summer calendar and that it’s just eight months away.
And this may have already been reported, but the release contains these details about the upcoming festival:
A car and motorcycle show, golf tournament, live musical entertainment and a carnival, are just a few of the activities currently planned for the four-day Festival. An expo of Route 66 artists and authors and the Will Rogers Awards Banquet Dinner, are sure to be highlights of the event.
The festival is also accepting sponsorships. Those interested in sponsoring the festival should call 580-323-2222.
