It sounds like it’s going to be a fun time Saturday in Commerce, Okla. The town’s third annual Route 66 Oktoberfest will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Commerce Avenue (aka Route 66), with live music, turtle races, frog-jumping contests, a chili competition and a car and motorcycle show.
Best of all, it’s for a good cause, reports the Miami (Okla.) News Record:
“The proceeds will be used to fix up the parks,” Commerce City Counsel [sic] member Lena Enochs said. “We’re going to put a pavilion in one. It’ll make it better for the children.”
