A few Oklahoma City aficionados of rockabilly and punk music, hot rods and pinups have been going to festivals of such ilk for years.
Now they’ve decided to organize an annual festival of their own — at the 66 Bowl on Route 66 in OKC, reports the Daily Oklahoman.
The Okie Twist-off Kustom Culture Extravaganza runs from noon Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday. Twelve bands will perform inside the 66 Bowl, which has become a popular music venue in addition to being a longtime bowling center. A $10 wristband allows access to all of the events at the show.
There’s also a meet-and-greet at the Galileo Bar & Grill on the Friday night before the show.
