Here’s a pretty good still-photo compilation of the classic cars seen at the Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino, Calif., this past weekend:
As for attendance at the festival, the San Bernardino County Sun reports:
Andrea Winter, San Bernardino Visitors and Convention Center spokeswoman, deemed the Rendezvous – the city’s premier annual event – a success.
“We’re extremely pleased,” Winter said. “We had 1850 cars registered, just 50 shy of the 1900 we were expecting.”
Everyone also seemed pleased with the assigned-parking spaces that event organizers tried this year for the first time, she said.
Winter said she did not have the exact numbers for the event, but gauged it had attracted at least the half-million visitors that were expected – if not more.
