  1. nice to see the food network’s salute to the mother road. just one question…..where the heck was the ‘vette?

  2. Hello Folks,

Just wanted to blog about a restaurant I ate at this past Labor Day! Boot Hill Saloon & Grill in Vega, Texas. WOW! Best steak I’ve ever eaten! Servers were very nice and all dressed in authentic western saloon girl outfits. They explained something cool though. This restaurant was built by a chef who participated in the Next Food Network Star reality show. So, apparently there was a really rowdy old west town called Tascosa. Some of the old outlaws like Billy the Kid traveled there. This restaurant was built sort of as a tribute to that town. It actually looks like an old saloon. I’d definitely recommend it.
