The Oklahoma Route 66 Association is sponsoring another cleanup day following last month’s devastating ice storm — this time at Totem Pole Park near Foyil starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Volunteers are needed to help clear downed tree branches from the park’s nature path. Pole saws, chain saws and other similar equipment, along with work gloves, are recommended.
The Totem Pole Park is four miles south of Route 66 on Highway 28A.
The 60-foot-tall totem pole on the premises was built by Ed Galloway in 1948.
