This hasn’t yet been posted on the Route 66 Association of Missouri’s Web site, but I received a mailer that announces the association’s 19th annual motor tour will be Sept. 5-7.
The tour starts with registration at the Comfort Inn in Collinsville, Ill., on Friday.
Saturday includes dinner at Zeno’s Motel and Steakhouse in Rolla, Mo., and staying overnight at the motel there. Zeno’s is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
On Sunday, the tour wraps at Wrink’s Market in Lebanon, Mo.
Registered vehicles will have specially made plaques and window decals. T-shirts will be available. The registration fee per vehicle is $25, plus $18 for the Saturday evening dinner at Zeno’s and $6 for lunch Sunday at Wrink’s. Deadline to mail in the registration form is Aug. 15.
