Route 66-themed library opens

The Route 66 town of Strafford, Mo., has a possible new enticement for roadies to visit — a new branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library system opened Saturday.

From the Springfield News-Leader:

The 2,500-square-foot, Route 66-themed facility features several murals and decorations that pay homage to Strafford’s location along the historic driving route.

Aside from books, it houses several multimedia stations to draw in children and families alike, including eight computer stations and a Nintendo Wii gaming system.

It doesn’t say whether the Strafford library, at Missouri Highway 125 and Route 66, has Wi-Fi. But considering that all of the library system’s other nine branches do, it seems likely. This also is an indication it does.
