According to the Miami (Okla.) News-Record, the T&T Cruisers Car Club is on a Route 66 cruise in the state of Oklahoma. It started on Friday and is working its way west.
The cruisers will cover 365 miles of history along this popular route, traveling about 100 miles per day and making stops at Clanton’s 66 Restaurant in Vinita, Galloway Totem Pole Park in Foyil, Will Rogers Memorial & Museum and the Davis Gun Museum in Claremore, the Blue Whale in Catoosa, Tulsa’s 5&Diner and numerous other historic venues along Route 66.
The last stop on the cruise is at the Roger Miller Museum in Erick. The cruise will end in Texola. […]
Stops were also planned at the Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum and at the Afton Station, an old filling station that has been fully restored
Miami isn’t the eastern terminus of Route 66 in Oklahoma, but it’s only 13 miles away that Kansas state line. Texola is right on the Texas border.
We participated in that cruise and will thank Tand T Cruisers for the kicks we got on Oklahoma 66. It was the highlight on our Chicago – Los Angeles trip.
