Architecture firm honored for Route 66 espresso stand

AIA Seattle formed a team to recognize up-and-coming and innovative architectural firms in the region. Twelve were selected, and one has a link to Route 66, according to the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.

And one of the 12 was:

Chadbourne + Doss Architects used two cargo containers to create a delightful espresso stand called Java Stop on Route 66 in Illinois. It’s become a local landmark in addition to being a simple adaptive reuse of existing resources.

Not to mention the mural on the side of the business is cool. Here’s a photo of the Route 66 Java Stop:
