“Get Your Kicks!” the new, Route 66-themed season of the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies of Palm Springs, Calif., received an enthusiastic review from the WeHo News of West Hollywood, Calif.
There was not one lull in this fast paced, fabulous Vegas type show.
The choreography by Joan Palethorpe with tap numbers by Carri Burbank Glen is Broadway-Vegas at its finest.
If you want to be thoroughly entertained and held spellbound by dancing, singing, comedy, dazzling costumes by Thi Thu Hanyak and magnificent sets by John Greenberger, then The Palm Springs Follies is where you want to be. […]
Audience members I spoke with at the intermissions said this show is the best yet. […]
“Get Your Kicks” is the happy, feel good experience we need right now in these somber times. These talented seniors are still going strong and show that age is a state of mind.
It is clear, as I watched the faces of the performers, that they love what they do. And, the audience loves being part of this wonderful experience called The Palm Springs Follies.
At the end, Riff Markowitz, with his tongue in cheek slam humor says, “If I haven’t insulted you, I’m sorry. Come back.”
Route 66 advocate Jim Conkle is a technical adviser for the production. Tickets for other Follies shows can be purchased here.

Ron,
Thank you for the post of this years Palm Springs Follies. My wife, Frances, and I were guests at the opening day show. WOW! from the outside entrance to the lobby into the theatre and then up on the stage, the theme is all ROUTE 66. They have done an excellent job of making this years theme a major part of the show. It is not just the music of the road but the culture of the road that they celebrate.
I plan on seeing the show a number of times this season with other roadies and friends. Any questions please get in touch with me.
Thanks
Jim
