Here’s a slide show of a restoration of a 1964 Corvette, much like one that was driven by Tod and Buz (and Linc) during the run of the “Route 66” televisi0n series. Also, the music is “Route 66,” by Nelson Riddle.
I thought the pre-restoration Corvette didn’t look bad at all, actually.
Tod and Buz always drove a convertible, but that’s a small point. Taking ANY Sting Ray out on 66 would be a dream. But looking at this pristine restoration, I have to wonder if this Vette will become a trailer queen or will its owner truly enjoy it on some road trips.
Can I volunteer to drive it on it’s first trip down The Road? I promise I won’t burn TOO much rubber with it.
