Chicago to L.A. without a drop of gasoline?

NewsOXY.com, an independent news site about new and green technology, says there’s something big on the horizon regarding automobiles.

However, imagine if you would, a hybrid or plug in electric car which can travel across longer distances? A vehicle which could drive from New York City and arrive in Los Angeles without using a drop of gasoline? There are whispers in the auto industry that a new automobile is coming “very soon.”

I don’t normally report on gossip or rumors, but this one, we didn’t pass up because we’ve been receiving several news tips from a variety of legitimate sources. What I can’t report on is who the automaker is, not because our organization knows who it is, but because we are unable to verify. We don’t know all the details, but something is definitely going on, which will probably surprise the electric car industry soon. […]

Something is coming, very soon, but I don’t think it’s a new vehicle. I believe it is a new electric refueling infrastructure, which will be available at restaurants, motels, and even resorts. There could be a new electric car, but that is something we are unable to verify.

Take that with a whatever grain of salt is at your disposal.
