After the hustle and bustle of Christmas, many people — including me — are ready to move on to other things.
But I’ll make an exception for the awesome Joplin Christmas Window Display in the Newman Brothers Building (aka City Hall) in Joplin, Mo., right on Route 66.
This display, which recalls the animated Christmas windows seen for a century at Marshall Field’s in Chicago, will remain up through Friday at the least.
Ace Jackalope posted a colorful story about the animated displays, including this video:
Ace writes that the Joplin displays started in 2007, and have grown more elaborate each year.
Ace’s blog definitely is worth following, as it contains plenty of Mother Road material.
