Tour group partners with movie studio for “Easy Rider” tours

EagleRider, a motorcycle rental and tour firm, has joined with Sony Pictures to lead clients next year on the exact course that Captain America and Billy took in the 1969 hit film “Easy Rider,” according to a news release.

The company has teamed up with Sony Pictures and Easy Rider movie experts to offer a two-week motorcycle tour that follows the exact path laid down by “Billy” and “Wyatt” during the production of the movie. The tour will offer participants the chance to visit locations where the movie was filmed and ride from the highways of Southern California, to Death Valley, and down to New Orleans to experience the jazz and blues music that the city has to offer.

Furthermore, riders will get to see behind the scenes movie props. The tour will be offered six times throughout 2013, starting in May and ending in October. Click here for more information on the Easy Rider Movie Tour by EagleRider. […]

Easy Rider, one of our most coveted classic films, culturally celebrates the American motorcycle lifestyle. EagleRider’s strong reputation makes them the ideal partner for the Easy Rider Movie Tour,” said Greg Economos, SVP Sony Pictures Consumer Products. “We are excited to offer motorcycle enthusiasts the opportunity to engage in the film’s history and thrilled with our partnership with EagleRider.”

EagleRider already offers Route 66 tours. And the “Easy Rider” tour will include a good part of the Mother Road as well, especially the desert Southwest. In 2009, Alan Dunn (aka Mr. Zip66) provided a detailed then-and-now look of the “Easy Rider” filming locations.
