Projects to restore two rooftop neon signs in the Figueroa Street area of Los Angeles won a Governor’s Historic Preservation Award.
The award was announced weeks ago. But this video, produced by the California State Parks’ Office of Historic Preservation, that explains the sign projects was uploaded Thursday:
North Figueroa Street in the Highland Park neighborhood was Route 66 from 1931 to 1934, and again from 1936 to 1960.
Congratulations Amy & CO and ALL of Highland Park for a job very well done!
