Chris Farley lives!
That was my reaction from this whimsical video created by theChurch.at, based in the Tulsa region.
Occasionally, while searching for Route 66 material, you’ll find the strangest — and funniest things. This is one of them.
Church Appropriate Dance Moves from theChurch.at on Vimeo.
Observations:
- At some point while busting all of those moves, the guy ripped the seam on his right shoulder.
- The dancing became so strenuous, he seemed like he would puke at one point. I don’t think he was acting.
- Make sure you watch the video to the end and hear the applause off-camera.
- Why do I get the feeling this will go viral?
Route 66 content: The video was shot at the Route 66 Roller Dome, on the newer alignment of Route 66 north of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. It reopened a few years ago after, coincidentally enough, it was converted into a church for a short time. The site is best-known to roadies for its giant roller-skate sign out front.
