Two people were arrested Thursday on suspicion of two killings that occurred more than five months ago at the Carolyn Inn motel on Route 66 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Antonio Rayfield Moore and Hanah Renee Jones, both 22, each were taken into custody in Tulsa on two counts of first-degree murder, according to the Tulsa World.
Jake Allen Wright, 19, of Bristow, and Ruthanne Rex, 31, of Okemah, Oklahoma, were found dead in a room at the motel March 29. Rex died of a gunshot wound to the neck, and Wright died of an unspecified head wound.
The Bristow Police Department and state police investigated. The suspects were booked into the Creek County Jail in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
The Carolyn Inn isn’t high on the list of most Route 66 travelers, and the motel has been rated poorly by customers over the past few years. It is a mom-and-pop motel, but it might be advisable to look for alternate lodging if you need a room overnight in the area.
