The “Boomtown” film, a 41-minute documentary about the history of Tulsa that screened in theaters this summer, now is available on DVD, streaming and download.
The film documents Tulsa’s history, including its rise as an oil town and its key role in Route 66, with interview footage of “Route 66: The Mother Road” author and historian Michael Wallis.
The DVD is available at the gift shop at Tulsa Historical Society (map here) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or by calling the museum at (918) 712-9484. A regular DVD costs $20, with the Blu-ray version costing $22.
Vimeo also is offering “Boomtown” available to watch online for $7.99 or for a full download for $20.
