Marshall Trimble, who’s been designated Arizona’s official state historian, appears in this 2 1/2-minute video about the Route 66 town of Ash Fork, Arizona, for the Ash Fork Historical Society and Museum.

And because Trimble grew up in Ash Fork, who better to tell the town’s story?

The video was shot and edited by Frank Kocevar, former owner of Historic Seligman Sundries in Seligman, Arizona.

    1. I’m looking for information about my grand mother Ida Sengaris. She had a resturant in ash fork in the 1940s or 50s. I would appreciate help finding more about its location and any other facts. I know the resturants name was either Idas Cafe or Cafe 66. Thanks. Susan Gale/Cartney

      1. Fayrene Humes helped create the Ash Fork Historical Society and Museum. Fayrene has been a resident of Ash Fork since 1951 when she relocated to Ash Fork with her family at the age of 13. She is a recipient of the “Heritage Keepers” award from the Prescott Western Heritage Foundation.

Fayrene would possible have information about your Grandmother.

Marshall Trimble a state historian and early resident of Ash Fork. Marshall is the official Arizona State Historian. Let me know if you want me to call Marshall.
