The Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society of Missouri launched a new, comprehensive website this week.
The website is here.
According to a news release:
You’ll find up-to-date news about Route 66 activities in “Today’s 66,” with historical articles and photos under “Yesterday’s 66.” Other sections are devoted to historic maps, the Lebanon Route 66 Festival, the Route 66 Gasconade River Bridge and “Multimedia,” a compilation of photos, videos and other collections of Route 66 material.
It’s not our first website. Judy Wallmark, our former longtime secretary-treasurer, developed and maintained a site in the early days of the Route 66 Society. In recent years, Route 66 Society news has appeared first on our Facebook page. […]
The site also includes a calendar of Route 66 events, opinion polls, a link to the Route 66 page of the Lebanon-Laclede County Library, a link to the tourism page on the City of Lebanon website and a page of links to other website links devoted to The Mother Road. […]
If you’re looking for material about a certain Route 66 landmark and can’t find it, please be patient. We’ll add material to the site as we get it. We welcome contributions of scanned photos, clippings and other Route 66-related documents, which may be sent to the society’s new email address, LebanonRoute66@gmail.com.
