In the past week or so, we’ve stumbled onto historic properties along Route 66 in Galena, Kansas, and Tucumcari, New Mexico, that might interest a prospective entrepreneur for not a lot of money.
The Tucumcari property once was the Jerry’s Liquors store. It also once was a tattoo shop and a grocery store. Records indicate the building may date to 1907.
The building is 2,200 square feet and comes with a lot behind the property. The asking price is $60,000.
Interested? Call owner Karen Alarcon at (575) 403-8580.
The second property, at 203 Main St. in Galena, comes with an asking price of $28,000 from Joseph Michael West Jr.
