Jane and Michael Stern, who’ve championed regional restaurants for more than 40 years through 10 editions of their “Roadfood” books, recently published an online guide to seven restaurants on or near Route 66 in Albuquerque.

Roadfood also produced a video about their favorite restaurants in the old Route 66 town of Santa Fe, New Mexico. It includes Santa Fe Bite, successor of the legendary Bobcat Bite.
The Sterns also posted a full tour of favorite Route 66 restaurants on their website. Ignore the list at your peril; we’ve learned over the years to trust their judgement implicitly.
