The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department on Wednesday uploaded the latest video of its RoadTripOK series — the Route 66 town of Elk City.
The video focuses on these three Elk City attractions:
Here’s the video:
The previous week, the RoadTripOK crew visited the Route 66 town of Sayre, where they checked out Flying W Guest Ranch, Washita Battlefield National Historic Site and The Brick Delights restaurant.
Haylee Riggs McGhee, a publications manager at Oklahoma Tourism, stated in an email the next episode on Feb. 26 will highlight Clinton. The video will focus on the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum, White Dog Hill restaurant and Strayhouse Kitchen & Coffee.
Oklahoma Tourism and Broken Arrow-based Retrospec Films announced last fall they would launch a year-long series of weekly films about various road-trip destinations, including Route 66. Among the early episodes that focused on Stroud, Depew, Arcadia and Tulsa can be viewed here. It’s part of an aggressive effort to raise Oklahoma’s tourism profile.
