Lonely Planet, which publishes a bunch of travel guides and has a popular website, posted this three-minute video of an Atlanta couple who traveled Route 66 in Arizona and New Mexico.
Lonely Planet said this about the video:
Historic Route 66 is full of hidden gems — towns that seem frozen in time from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Learn how Route 66 from Arizona to New Mexico inspired Disney’s cartoon movie, “Cars.” For more details to plan your own road trip, get our Route 66 guide book.
Here it is:
As mentioned, Lonely Planet published a Route 66 guide book which you can buy here (Amazon link).
UPDATE: Lonely Planet deleted the video from its website. However, it uploaded it to YouTube, to which we’ve linked.

Funny how the video claims Route 66 starts in LA….apparently they didn’t do their research.
Actually it’s a pretty crappy video if they are claiming it to be about Route 66. Seems to be more about them.
