Comedian and movie star Kevin Hart will star in a television adventure series tentatively titled “Route 66” for the forthcoming Discovery+ streaming service that launches Jan. 4.
Several media outlets had details about the Discovery+ platform that was announced Wednesday, but it was Deadline.com that had the most details about Hart’s show:
Route 66 (working title): From Executive Producer Will Packer and HartBeat Productions, Route 66 (working title) features Kevin Hart hitting the road, going along America’s famous Route 66 to see what’s going on with America. He will visit people and places and bring along friends in an exploration of the U.S. heartland from Chicago to L.A.
“Working title” means the title of the series could change.
Realscreen.com also had this tidbit about the series from Hart himself:
“You’re getting a point of view into the real world of today,” said Hart of the series.
A perusal of Hart’s social-media accounts doesn’t indicate he’s been on Route 66 recently. Either production for “Route 66” hasn’t started, or the footage for the series has been shot and in the can for quite a while.
Discovery+, which features a slew of cable channels, will be available for $4.99 a month or $6.99 a month for an ad-free version.

I’m interested to see what this show will be like it’s cool that kevin hart is doing a show about route 66 and, it would be interesting to see how route 66 business are dealing with the pandemic.
It’ll be interesting to see what this show will be like we haven’t really gotten a route 66 travel show so it’ll be cool to see
For me, a disappointing choice, but I wish them luck with it.
