Galena, Kansas, has launched a buy-a-brick campaign where buyers can leave a permanent mark on the city’s downtown Main Street district along Route 66.
The bricks, which start at $50, can be used to commemorate anniversaries, people, or organizations, with the option of adding a logo. Souvenir bricks that can be kept as keepsakes start at $25.
The order form is here.
Here’s the story about the campaign from KSNF-TV:
The order form states the commemorative bricks will be installed on high-traffic sidewalks in Galena’s Route 66 district.
Those with questions should contact the city at 620-783-5265.
Downtown Galena has seen quite a renaissance in the past decade, shepherded by former mayor Dale Oglesby.
