Mary Beth Babcock, the owner of the Buck Atoms Cosmic Curios on Route 66 store in Tulsa, recently flagged a brief video shot by a friend in New York City.
The footage shows several landmarks from Route 66 and other spots in the Sooner State that were displayed on the big video screens in Times Square.
Yes, THAT Times Square.
A few seconds of video may not sound like a big deal. But Times Square remains one of the most visited and photographed tourism spots in the city, if not the world.
The footage revealed it was created by Oklahoma Tourism, which again shows it has taken a “go big or go home” approach since Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell (and frequent Route 66 champion) has led the agency.
