Phelps County, Missouri, renews push to establish a permanent Route 66 museum

Advocates for Phelps County, Missouri, are renewing their quest to establish a local Route 66 museum in St. James at an old car dealership within the next year.

Now with the pandemic mostly over, Standfast says the museum boosters hope to revamp fundraising toward the goal of purchasing the old Hutcheson Ford Property. One option being considered for fundraising is tiered memberships and potentially a higher trustee-level of support. Once finalized, more details on the program will be released later this year.
