Texas Ivy Antiques, a longtime Route 66 supporter in Amarillo, Texas, sustained damage in a suspected electrical fire on Tuesday.
Dora Meroney, one of the co-owners, said the fire was “bad, but not a total loss,” and posted this message on Facebook later that day:
No one was here when it happened so no one was hurt.
Unfortunately Texas Ivy Antiques will be closed until we can get one room up and running.
I will try to get a new stamp for us to use to Stamp the ROUTE 66 PASSPORTS as soon as possible.

If Dora doesn’t have the business reopened by the time you check out the location at 3511 Sixth Ave. (aka Route 66), she said she appreciates the well-wishes anyway.
