The Big Texan RV Ranch, a short distance down the road from the landmark Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, recently added vintage Airstream trailers that are available for overnight guests.
Here’s the announcement from the RV park:
That’s in addition to the wooden cabins and Conestoga wagons the RV park opened for overnight travelers earlier this year.
Of the three, the Airstream is the best value, going for $89 a night, according to the RV park’s booking website.
The Big Texan Steak Ranch, best known for its 72-ounce steak dinner challenge, was founded on Amarillo Boulevard (aka Route 66) in Amarillo in 1960.
After Interstate 40 opened in the early 1970s, the Big Texan picked up and moved there to ensure its survival.
