Developer of Route 66 Navigation app to be a partner in European Route 66 Festival

Touch Media, the company behind the Route 66 Navigation app and Route 66 Passport, recently announced its partnership with the European Route 66 Festival on Aug. 30 to Sept. 1 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The festival, organized by the Czech Route 66 Association, follows up a successful previous edition held in Zlin, Czech Republic, in 2018.

This year’s festival will be part of “All-American Festival” during the traditional “The Prague Harley Days, which regularly draws large crowds in the Czech Republic.

After supporting the Ziln festival, both Route 66 Navigation and Route 66 Passport are set to participate again at the Prague festival that also will be attended by numerous personalities from Route 66 including Oklahoma Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell, Terri Ryburn, Debyjo Ericksen, Oklahoma Route 66 Association President Rhys Martin and others.

“Since 2018, Touch Media has become a significant provider of services for tourists wanting to explore the legendary America’s Highway, not only in Europe but also in the USA. We are among the most active promoters of Route 66 as a tourist destination in Europe. Our focus is on roadies from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and many other European countries. Our distinctive yellow Route 66 Navigation booth attracted over 100,000 international visitors during Prague Harley Days’ celebration of Harley-Davidson’s 115th anniversary; we also promoted Route 66 at following H-D events in Prague. This summer, together with Zdeněk Jurásek, we will organize a broadcast of Route 66 Radio and a large promotional debate about Route 66 at the popular 2024 International Adventure Meeting Slovakia event, too,” said Marián Pavel, CEO of Touch Media.

“Through Route 66 Navigation, Route 66 Passport, the Historic 66 network including the largest Facebook group Historic Route 66 and our other projects, we provide our services to over 250,000 people worldwide annually. The Mother Road has an incredible international reach, and overseas visitors significantly impact the revenue of many mom-and-pop businesses on Route 66. Considering that foreign visitors typically spend between 10 and 15 days on Route 66, promoting it in Europe makes a lot of sense for the economy of the entire community,” said Jan Švrček, co-owner of Touch Media.

At the European Route 66 Festival, attendees will be drawn not only to the easily recognizable booth but also by a company’s Route 66 truck with distinct stickers promoting Route 66 across European roads. The booth will offer information about both Route 66 Navigation and Route 66 Passport as well as promotional materials from other locations along Route 66. We’ll welcome several guests from Europe and USA at our booth to share face-to-face interactions embodying spirit of the Mother Road. Further planned activities will be announced later in conjunction with festival organizers.

Those who would like to have their Route 66 location promoted at the Touch Media booth for European roadies can contact it at hello@touchmedia.sk. The promotional materials can be shared free of charge with attendees at the 2024 European Route 66 Festival; all you need is to deliver them in a package to its address.

The Route 66 Navigation app is available from the Apple AppStore and Google Play store. Touch Media is based in Bratislava, Slovakia, in the European Union.
