Local officials flipped the switch Thursday night at the new It’s Electric Neon Sign Park just off Route 66 in Granite City, Illinois.
According to Riverbender.com, the park at 19th Street and Delmar Avenue was funded by a $500,000 grant from the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau and the Illinois Office of Tourism to help draw more visitors to Route 66.

The It’s Electric Neon Sign Park lights nightly. It’s a few blocks west of the Madison Avenue alignment of Route 66 through town.
