Uranus Missouri owner’s film to debut in Waynesville on Oct. 16

Don’t look now, but Louie Keen, owner of the Uranus Missouri complex along Route 66 in St. Robert, Missouri, is getting into the movie biz.

Keen and co-executive producer JR Anthony will debut “Uranus Attacks” at B&B Theatres Waynesville Patriot 12 (map here) in nearby Waynesville, Missouri, at 6 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Based on the trailer, it’s safe to say “Uranus Attacks” ranks high on the camp quotient:

Tiffany Baker, vice president of Uranus, who portrays Miss Tiffany in the movie, proclaimed she “can’t wait to watch Uranus explode onto the big screen!” 

Uranus Attacks was filmed on location at Uranus Fudge Factory on Route 66 in Pulaski County, Missouri. Route 66 enthusiasts will recognize additional filming locations in Devils Elbow and Rolla, Missouri.

Uranus Attacks is a hilarious sci-fi adventure. An evil alien has invaded Uranus and is assimilating the town into his slug army. It’s now up to two best friend fudge packers to save Uranus from being destroyed.

Destined to quickly become a cult classic, Uranus Attacks stars Dave Martinez, Jennica Anusua, Curt Doussett, Emmy-award winning actor Jacob Young and the Mayor of Uranus, Louie Keen.

Tickets to the film are $15 each and will include photo ops and a red-carpet meet-and-green with its stars. “Uranus Attacks” merchandise will be available during. Tickets for the premiere will be available online at uranusattacks.com.

During its first 10 years of operation, Uranus Fudge Factory & General Store claims it became Missouri’s second-most visited Route 66 attraction.

Uranus also was voted the Best Roadside Attraction in Missouri by Rural Missouri magazine readers. 

Uranus Missouri is also home to the Uranus Sideshow Museum, Uranus Ice Cream Company, Uranus Putt Pirates Mini-Golf and the World’s Largest Belt Buckle. Uranus Fudge Factory ships its fudge to every U.S. state and across Canada and began shipping internationally.

Uranus Mayor Louie Keen opened his second location off Interstate 69 at Anderson, Indiana, in April 2022 and will open a third location in Richmond, Indiana, later this year.
