Route 66 Association of Kansas to offer its own Route 66 Passport

This week, the Route 66 Association of Kansas will offer its own version of a Route 66 Passport.

The Galena Sentinel-Times in Galena, Kansas, is publishing the passports for the association.

The 32-page publication includes a map of the route in Kansas, plus photos, hours of operation, phone numbers and other information about Route 66 landmarks in Kansas.

Here are the places where it can be stamped along Kansas’ 13.2 miles of Route 66:

  • Cars on the Route;
  • Hotrod Hangout Lounge & Speedshop;
  • Gravy’s Place;
  • Pappy Litch Park (stamp across the street at Galena Sentinel-Times);
  • Streetcar Station Coffee Shop;
  • Gearhead Curios;
  • Galena Liberty Pawn,
  • Galena Mining Museum;
  • Nelson’s Old Riverton Store;
  • Sunflower Park (stamp at Punkins Place);
  • Punkins Place;
  • Baxter Springs Heritage Center and Museum;
  • Baxter Springs Route 66 Visitors Center;
  • Sleepygirls Furniture and More;
  • Bas Relief mural (American Bank);
  • Veteran’s Memorial (Stamp at American Bank);
  • Bricks and Brews Woodfire Pizza;
  • Monarch Pharmacy & Soda Fountain.

The association stated on Facebook Messenger that the passport was something it had been working on “for a while.”
