A long-planned St. Robert Route 66 Neon Park along the highway in St. Robert, Missouri, is under construction and scheduled to open sometime in spring 2025.
The Pulaski County Tourism Bureau and Visitors Center recently posted this video of the neon park being built:
According to the tourism bureau, the park will contain restored neon signs that once stood along Route 66 between St. Louis and Carthage, Missouri.
The video contains artist’s renderings of a few signs that will go up at the park.
The neon park will be next to the George M. Reed Roadside Park, located in a wide median between the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 66 in St. Robert.
The Reed Park and its M-60 tank will remain there and be embellished to tell the story of the importance of Route 66 as a thoroughfare for transporting war material during World War II.
