A driver’s view of Oatman Road

Sit back and take a mini-vacation for 23 minutes. Here’s the best-quality video I’ve seen of a motorcyclist’s drive on Oatman Road, from the outskirts of Kingman, Ariz., through the twists and turns to Sitgreaves Pass, and into the town of Oatman itself. It was shot with a helmet cam.

You’ll see cattle near the road about the 11-minute mark. Strangely, no wild burros are seen in Oatman.

  1. Sit back for 23 minutes… huh!?! You mention that this motorcycle video on 66 is the best you’ve seen? Come’on, R66N! The video as a whole is intolerable to say the least. It appears that someone should have learned about the foam microphone wind screen that was invented many decades ago. Before that time period, a simple wool cloth or cotton ball would do the trick just as well. The wind noise level isn’t even that loud in reality when actually riding a motorhorse. Darn those overly equalized synthetic digital audio gadgets! The only solution now is to turn off the speakers. Sad, but a waste of time without some further post production work. Great visual footage, that is possibly true, but great footage can only useful and enjoyable when applied correctly with the pleasurable synchronization of sight with sound. After all, after the first minute, you’d be asking alot from the audience to bear another 22 minutes.

    1. Yes, it remains the best I’ve seen, because the other ones have even bigger flaws. I stand by my assertion.

You are cordially invited to submit a better video. Let me know if and when it happens.
