About 90 Irish citizens on Harley Davidsons cruised into Tulsa on Wednesday, stopped at Route 66 Harley Davidson and ate at the 5 and Diner next door, reports KOTV.
The Route 66 Challenge is a fundraiser for the Temple Street University Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
A few members of the group found the 92-degree heat a bit much for them.
For Jenny Huston, a radio announcer, and Tony Toner, the road captain, the welcome has been a little too warm. “We’re melting. I was 6 foot 6 when I left Chicago and now I’m 6 foot 2 and diminishing rapidly.”
Too warm? This is Oklahoma, folks. We’ll show you too warm in July and August.
