Also, it’s come to my attention that the UppSite program to create a Route 66 News app for Apple or Android mobile systems isn’t working well or working at all. So I’m going to deactivate it.
I apologize to anyone who might be using those apps. But between their lousy performance and the irritating prompts that non-users get when they initially surf to Route 66 News on their smartphones, I think few will object.
And Route 66 News already is programmed to default to a mobile-friendly layout if it detects a mobile device, so it shouldn’t be that big of a deal. Just make sure you bookmark the site on your mobile browser.
