  • Jane Genova, Speechwriter-Ghostwriter, makes some observations about Oprah and Gayle’s road trip, which included Route 66, and the movie “Thelma & Louise.” She says Thelma and Louise, who were fictional movie characters, were a lot more compelling and human than the real-life Oprah and Gayle. The truth hurts. Ouch.
  • Monica and Ben get up-close with the wild burros of Oatman, Ariz., and tow a cool-looking vintage travel trailer. Lots of photos, including a shot of an adorable, white baby burro. The couple also have other posts from their 66 trip.
  • Robert’s Routes has an overview of Route 66 and where it is. It’s Spartan, but it’s a good starting point before you get into the more detailed mapping of the Mother Road.
