Route 66 among Arizona’s top spots

The Arizona Republic has named the top 10 travel spots in the state.

One of them was Route 66, and the newspaper compiled a list of things to do on the Mother Road, where to eat and where to stay (although I wish it hadn’t chose a chain hotel in Kingman when historic mom-and-pops were available).

Also on the top 10 are side trips commonly associated with the Mother Road, such as the No. 1-rated Grand Canyon and Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff.

  1. Unless you were born, raised and have experienced all aspects in the State of Arizona, don’t be dramatic about a State that is consider a Vortex State of undying mystery. From Tombstone Arizona to the almighty Grand Canyon, you could never fathom living in a house on ancient Indian Land and having ghosts roam your halls in the dead of night. If those ghost’s like you, they will never let you leave that property. They will be there through all of your life’s drama and help you through your life’s mysteries. If they don’t like you, you will be gone very shortly from their land.

In planting a hedge in my front yard several years ago, I ended up digging up a knee cap that ASU has classified as a Hohokam Indian woman. She opens my windows whenever her mood strikes and walks my Hallway between my children’s bedrooms constantly.

That’s not to take away from the little ghost girl who steals from my daughter and has left a sink hole in my backyard where her body lies according to forensic testing.

Arizona is a land of spiritualism and if you understand the Indians and knew the distant past you would know the reason why!
