Rory is in the finals

Will she be a bridesmaid again, or the bride?

Rory Schepisi, who finished runner-up in the CMT’s “Popularity Contest,” made the finals of another reality TV show, “The Next Food Network Star.”

Schepisi is about to open a restaurant, Boot Hill Saloon and Grill, on Route 66 in Vega, Texas.

A short video recap of Week 7 can be seen here.

Schepisi is going against finalist Amy Finley of San Diego. The winner will be determined by votes online and by cell phone until 8 p.m. Central on Tuesday. The winner will be announced Sunday on the show at 8 p.m. Central.

Meanwhile, I found a recently posted video of from a local TV station when it interviewed Schepisi and her boyfriend, Klay Waters of Vega:

  1. I hate that Rory didn’t win… I voted for her as much as allowed!! I hope Amy can hold up to the steak and potates that Rory threw down!! I was excited about seeing more of her cooking!! Amy’s was just a little too fussy for me!

  2. I am just disapointed in foodnetwork for allowing amy to join in the competition a second time. Amy wanted to leave at one point and then she was JUDGED OFF. When Jag decided to drop out The only person that truely wanted to be there (Rory) should have automaticly should have won.
I live about 11 hours away and am going to visit Boot Hill Saloon and Grill. Keep up the hard work Rory!

  3. Dear Rory- It must really suck coming in second on two different reality shows… Some day you might be popular, keep trying. I hear the Surreal Life is taking applicants for its next season.

  4. I have watched food network for a long time and it takes more than boobs, beef, and being someone your not to win. AMERICA VOTED AND AMY WON!!! In the final three the one that was true to herself, her family, her life, and her fans won. Face it Rory fans: Rory was okay but I like learning more than grilling and by the way I have been in restaurant management 20 years she wasn’t ready. Maybe someday!!!
