Longtime roadie Mark Potter told the Route 66 yahoogroup that White Dog Hill restaurant in Clinton, Okla., opened for regular hours on Aug. 1.
Potter said:
Currently, the restaurant is serving a simple menu choice of either a bacon cheeseburger or ribeye steak, either coming with a dinner salad and summer vegtables, along with a choice of either garlic mashed potatoes or potato salad. Prices are reasonable for what you get, and beer and liquor are available.
White Dog Hill is in the rehabilitated Clinton Country Club clubhouse, which was built in the 1930s.
(White Dog Hill is three miles east of Clinton, Okla., on the north outer road off Exit 69 of Interstate 40. The phone number is 580-323-6922.)
